"LIGHT" explores the boundaries between movement, light, sound, and existence. It blends visual art, performance, and philosophical reflection in a minimalistic way and invites the viewers to reflect on the universal human experience of growth and entropy.
The Project is a result of a collaboration between different artforms under the direction of the film maker Benedict Endler. The idea was to create a simple visual story, in which the tempo of the edit, the camera movement, the movement of the dancer and the brightness of the installation feel connected. Chaira Dubay created with the help of several orchestra musicians a dynamic mixture between classical and modern music. The dancer and acrobat Jess Gardolin developed a stunning choreography and Simon Husslein a professor at the interior Architecture Program “Head” in Geneva designed an adaptive light installation.
